Enemies Feel Threatened by Iran’s Growing Power: Ayatollah Khamenei
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said enemies have stepped up their attacks against the Islamic Establishment as they feel threatened by the country's rising power.
In a meeting with a group of senior Armed Forces commanders, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei extended his congratulations on the Eids (Muslim festivals), particularly the lunar calendar month of Rajab (March 18- April 16), saying, “Due to their blessed days, the months of Rajab, Shaaban (April 17 – May 15) and Ramadan (May 16 – June 14) are Eids for the righteous servants of God and one should make the most of these blessed months spiritually.”
The Leader cited power, security, dignity and sufficient ability in times of need as the main objectives of the Armed Forces and underlined the necessity of training the personnel and designating successors in the Armed Forces, reiterating, “The result of the activities and measures carried out in the Armed Forces must be in line with the fulfillment of determined goals.”
He also described the current times as the era of pride for the Islam Republic of Iran, stressing, “The reason behind the unprecedented attacks against the Islamic Establishment is the growing power of the Establishment, because the enemies feel threatened by this ever-increasing power and have stepped up their attacks.”
Ayatollah Khamenei added, “Despite all of the threats and to the enemies’ dismay, the might of the Islamic Establishment will increase day by day.”
According to official website of the Leader, prior to the remarks of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri presented a report on the achievements and activities of the Armed Forces over the past Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20, saying, “In the new year, we are committed to boosting our efforts and warrior-like bids to achieve goals.”
