Iran’s Larijani Sends Message to World Zoroastrian Congress

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Saturday issued a message to the 11th World Zoroastrian Congress, which is underway in Australia, saying the event is a good opportunity to explain and reiterate the causes of the monotheistic religion of Zoroastrianism.

“The 11th World Zoroastrian Congress provides a prime and desirable opportunity to explain and revisit the causes of this monotheistic religion, namely good thoughts, good words, and good deeds…,” Larijani said in the message.

“From a long time ago, the monotheist Iranians have sought the truth and good causes and correctly tried to spread it (the religion) through free thinking, rationality, and conscientiousness,” he noted.

Dialogue among followers of divine religions is always worthy of praise when aimed at promoting the humane understanding and encourage peace and morality, the parliament speaker stated.

For the first time in the history of the Zoroastrian community, the 11th World Zoroastrian Congress is being held in Australia, according to the official website of the congress.

The international event opened in Perth, Western Australia, on Friday and will last until Monday, June 4.
