Spain Head Coach Julen Lopetegui Named Real Madrid Coach
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Real Madrid has announced that Spain head coach Julen Lopetegui will become its new coach after the World Cup 2018.
Lopetegui only signed a new deal with the Spanish FA three weeks ago, to extend his stay with the national team until 2020.
However, he has now been confirmed as Zinedine Zidane’s replacement, after the Frenchman resigned after winning a third consecutive Champions League with the Bernabeu side with a 3-1 win over Liverpool last month.
Spain, under coaching of Lopetegui, will meet Iran on June 20 in Kazan in Group B of the 2018 World Cup.
