Iran’s Women Finishes 9th at World ParaVolley
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran came ninth at the World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball Women’s World Championship.
The Iranian team defeated Japan 3-1 (21-25, 25-15, 25-12, 25-17) in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Iran started the competition with a win over Slovenia but suffered two defeats against China and Italy.
USA and China women’s sitting volleyball teams have qualified for the final match.
Also, Iran’s men’s sitting volleyball team will face Ukraine on Saturday in the competition’s semis.
The 2018 World ParaVolley Championships are being held in five cities across the Netherlands with the winner qualifying for Tokyo 2020.
