Historic Site in Yemen’s Hudaydah Destroyed in Clashes (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - New round of fighting between Saudi-backed militants and Yemeni forces have led to the destruction of a historic landmark in the port city of Hudaydah.
A footage released by the Yemeni Ansarullah media center shows the Arc de Triomphe in ruins with remains of the structure scattered around the area.
Houthi Ansarullah forces said that the Saudi-led forces have destroyed the site in an airstrike.
Clashes have been ongoing since UN-mediated Yemen peace talks in Geneva ended prematurely earlier this month, due to the absence of the Yemeni Ansarullah delegation after a Saudi blockade prevented them from attending the event.
