Yemeni Troops Take Control of 3 Saudi Camps in Najran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni troops and fighters from Popular Committees made gains in their fight against Saudi aggressors near border areas, managing to retake three military sites on the kingdom’s soil in their retaliatory operations.
Yemeni troops on Friday established full control over three military sites in the district of Rashaha after entering Saudi soil in the border region of Najran, a military source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Saba news agency.
The retaliatory attack came after Saudi soldiers and their mercenaries attempted to sneak into areas under the control of Ansarullah forces, the source added.
The army killed and injured scores of the mercenaries during the operation and seized a large quantity of armaments and equipment, according to the report.
The attack against the Saudi-led forces come in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians and destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure by the coalition led by Riyadh.
Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for nearly four years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
The Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights announced in a statement on March 25 that the war had left 600,000 civilians dead and injured until then. The war and the accompanying blockade have also caused famine across Yemen.
