Yemeni Forces Launch Missile at Saudi Mercenaries in Hajjah

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The forces of the Yemeni army early on Thursday targeted the positions of Saudi mercenaries in the northwestern province of Hajjah with a homemade ballistic missile dubbed “Badr-1-P”.

A military source told Yemen’s Al-Masirah news that the missile unit of the army fired a ballistic missile type “Badr-1-P” on a gathering of Saudi-backed mercenaries in Hiran region, pointing out that the strike came after a careful monitoring of the movements of the mercenaries in the region.

The source confirmed that the ballistic missile strike was accurately carried out, leading to injuries and deaths of dozens of Saudi-backed forces and mercenaries as well as destroying a weapons depot.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the Saudi-led coalition for 4 years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

The Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights announced in a statement on March 25, 2018 that the war had left 600,000 civilians dead and injured until then. The war and the accompanying blockade have also caused famine across Yemen.
