Iran, Pakistan Ink MoU to Boost Health Cooperation
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – High-ranking officials from Iran and Pakistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday to boost cooperation in the area of medicine and health.
The document was signed by the health ministers of the two countries at a ceremony held in Tehran on Monday, which was attended by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran khan.
Tehran and Islamabad have recently ramped up efforts to boost bilateral relations in various areas.
In his first official visit to Iran after taking office in August 2018, Imran Khan arrived in Iran on Sunday for talks on a host of issues, including ways to enhance cooperation in political, economic, security, and cultural fields.
Before arriving in Tehran, Khan made a short stop in the city of Mashhad, where he visited the holy shrine of Imam Reza, the 8th Shiite Imam.
