IPL: Padideh Edges Saipa to Move One Place Up
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Padideh football team edged past Saipa 1-0 in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Sunday.
Substitute Younes Shakeri scored the winning goal in the 65th minute.
Yahya Golmohammadi’s team moved one place up to fourth place with 52 points, five points adrift of Persepolis.
Padideh is trying to book a place at the AFC Champions League for the first time.
Sepahan is second with 54 points and Esteghlal sits third with 53 points.
