IPL: Foolad, Paykan Share the Spoils
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foolad and Paykan football teams shared the spoils in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Thursday.
In the match, held in Ahvaz’s Ghadir Stadium, Issa Alekasir gave the visiting team the lead before the break.
Foolad Brazilian striker Luciano Pereira Mendes equalized the match in the 52nd minute.
With two weeks left to play, Afshin Ghotbi’s team remained in sixth place with 37 points and Payakn sits in ninth place with 32 points.
Persepolis sits top of the table with 57 points, followed by Esteghlal with 53 points.
