3 Killed, 12 Injured as Car Bomb Hits Afghanistan's Eastern Ghazni Province

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Three police personnel were confirmed dead and 12 others injured as a car bomb exploded near the gate of a police station in Aband district of Afghanistan's eastern Ghazni province on Saturday, provincial government spokesman Aref Nuri said.

"The terrorists organized a car bomb next to the gate of Police Headquarters in Aband district today morning killing three police on the spot and injuring 12 others," Nuri told Xinhua.

Without providing more details, the official said the investigation has been initiated into the case.

However, an official on condition of anonymity said four policemen were killed and 20 others injured.

Meanwhile, Zabihullah Majahid who claims to speak for the Taliban outfit has confirmed the blast, insisting 10 security personnel were killed and the district headquarters was destroyed due to the blast.
