Zarif Expounds on Iran’s Foreign Policy, Regional Issues
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – During his stay in Malaysia, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif gave a talk about the Islamic Republic’s foreign policy and major regional and international developments.
Zarif, who is in Kuala Lumpur as part of a tour of Asia, delivered a speech at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) of Malaysia on Thursday morning.
In his address, the Iranian minister talked about the future prospect of international relations, the characteristics of power and security in the post-Western era, and the common security of the Islamic world.
He further answered questions from Malaysian scholars and intellectuals about the latest regional and international developments and the foreign policy of Iran.
Founded in 1983, ISIS Malaysia is as an autonomous, not-for-profit research organization focusing on economics, foreign policy, security studies, nation-building, social policy, technology, innovation and environmental studies, according to its website.
The top Iranian diplomat has visited Malaysia in a tour of Asia that took him earlier to China and Japan.
