Iran Volleyball Moves One Step Closer to 2020 Olympics Ticket
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran edged past South Korea at the AVC Men’s Tokyo Volleyball Qualification tournament semifinals on Saturday.
Igor Kolakovic’s men defeated the Korean team 3-2 (22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 22-25, 15-13).
Team Melli is scheduled to meet the winner of China and Qatar match on Sunday.
The two winners in the semi-finals set up a final showdown, where only the eventual winner will secure its berth to the Tokyo 2020.
The two losing sides will fight it out in the third-place playoff encounter.
