Iran Wins CAFA U-19 Girl’s Futsal Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran won the CAFA U-19 Girl’s Futsal Championship 2020 on Wednesday.
Iran earned fifth successive win in the competition, beating Kyrgyzstan 2-0 in its last match.
Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan finished in second and third places respectively.
The young Iranian team defeated Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the round-robin tournament.
The tournament took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from January 24 to 29.
The Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) is an association of the football playing nations in Central Asia.
