Thailand Blind Football Replaces Iran at 2020 Paralympics

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) has confirmed that Iran will be out of 2020 Paralympic Games.

The eight teams who will play for the biggest and most coveted prize in blind football – the Paralympic title – have been confirmed by the International Blind Sports Federation.

Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Japan, Morocco, Spain and Thailand will all go for gold at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games from August 30 to September 5.

Thailand replaced Iran following the return of its slot by the National Paralympic Committee.

Iran, who won a silver medal in the previous edition, had already announced that it will not participate at the Games.
