Turkish-Backed Militants Set Homes on Fire in Syria’s Hasakah: Report

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Several homes in the Syrian northeastern province of Hasakah were set on fire by Turkish-backed militants, a report said.

The homes belonging to civilians and physicians were set ablaze and razed down by the Turkish-backed militants in the Syrian border town of Ras al-Ain, north of Hasakah, SANA reported on Wednesday.

The report added that the kidnapping and extortions of civilians have increased in the past month in the town.

According to SANA, Turkish army troops and their militant allies have been attacking villages in Hasakah, Raqqah, and Aleppo with artillery shells and various other heavy weapons since their cross-border offensive into Syrian territory in October last year and the subsequent occupation of a long swath of the border with the Arab country.
