Iran Speaker Sympathizes with Pakistan over COVID-19 Deaths

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani wished his Pakistani counterpart speedy recovery from the novel coronavirus, and expressed solidarity with the neighboring Muslim nation amid the pandemic.

Larijani sent a message to Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly Asad Qaiser, who has tested positive for COVID-19, wishing him a speedy recovery from the disease.

The Iranian speaker also offered his sympathy with the Pakistani nation over the coronavirus deaths and hoped that the Islamic community and the world would get rid of the infectious disease.

Larijani himself had contracted the coronavirus and has recently recovered from the disease.

Qaiser, his daughter and his son have tested positive for COVID-19.

In Pakistan, the number of coronavirus patients has exceeded 18,000 and the death toll has reached 417.
