Nearly 84,000 Coronavirus Cases Recover in Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Health Ministry spokesman said some 84,000 coronavirus positive cases in the country have fully recovered from the disease.
Speaking at a daily press conference on Friday, Kianoosh Jahanpoor said the number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 infection has reached 83,837.
He also noted that the number of people tested positive for the coronavirus across the country has risen to 104,691 following the detection of 1,556 new cases since yesterday.
According to the spokesman, 55 coronavirus patients have died over the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 6,541.
Among the coronavirus patients undergoing treatment in the hospital at present, 2,711 ones have critical health conditions because of more severe infection, he said.
He also noted that 558,899 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.
More than 3,932,000 people have been infected with COVID-19 globally, and the death toll has exceeded 271,000.
