Another Night of Tensions in France’s Argenteuil (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Police officers clashed for a second night with protesting youths in the Paris suburb of Argenteuil after 18-year-old Sabri Choubi died in a motorbike accident the day before, which had been blamed on the police by some inside the community.
The police officers ran amid burned barricades and fireworks let off by the youths, as they threw tear gas to disperse the protesters late Monday night.
Relatives of Sabri refuse the possibility that the young man would have lost control while driving his motorbike in a poorly lit narrow street as he encountered a police car.
The lawyers of the family announced a complaint to be filed in the upcoming day so the circumstances of Sabri's death can be further investigated.
