Over 270,000 Coronavirus Cases Recover in Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The number of coronavirus positive cases that have recovered from the viral disease in Iran has surpassed 270,000, the Health Ministry’s spokeswoman said.
Speaking at a daily press conference on Monday, Sima Sadat Lari put the death toll from the coronavirus in Iran at 17,405, saying the disease has taken the lives of 215 patients over the past 24 hours.
She also noted that at least 270,228 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across the country.
The number of people tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Iran has risen to 312,035 following the detection of 2,598 new cases since Sunday noon, the spokeswoman added.
Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 4,104 patients have critical health conditions, Lari noted.
She went on to say that more than 2,534,000 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 18.2 million and the death toll has exceeded 693,000.
