Iran Coronavirus Death Toll Tops 25,000
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The death toll from the new coronavirus in Iran surpassed 25,000 on Thursday with 175 deaths in the past 24 hours, the health ministry’s spokeswoman said.
“Unfortunately, 175 (coronavirus patients) lost their lives in the past 24 hours and the death toll reached 25,015,” Sima Sadat Lari said today.
With 3,521 new infections in the past 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Iran so far is 436,319, she added.
The spokeswoman put the number of those recovering from the disease in the country at 367,829.
More than 32 million people have been infected with COVID-19 across the world and the global death toll has exceeded 982,000.
