Esteghlal Coach Mahmoud Fekri Banned for One-Game
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal coach Mahmoud Fekri received a one-game ban after he was involved in a quarrel during a match against Foolad last week.
He used improper language in Ahvaz in front of a TV camera.
Esteghlal lost 2-1 to Foolad and Fekri insulted some Foolad coaches and players as he walked along the touchline at the Shohaday-e Foolad Stadium.
The video footage quickly went viral on social media.
Fekri will be absent in the match against Paykan, slated for Tuesday in Matchweek 4 of the Iran Professional League.
