Naft Masjed Soleyman Stuns Sepahan in IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team suffered a shock 3-1 defeat away to Naft Masjed Soleyman in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Sunday.
In the match held at the Behnam Mohammadi Stadium, Naft Masjed Soleyman forward Sasan Hosseini found the back the net with a header in the 5th minute but Sepahan forward Sajad Shahbazzadeh equalized the match in the 45th minute.
Sajad Jafari and Mostafa Naeijpour scored in the 64th and 80th minutes to seal an important victory for Naft Masjed Soleyman.
Furthermore, visiting team Shahr Khodro defeated corona-hit team Zob Ahan in a match which had been already announced would not be held.
Amin Ghaseminejad scored twice in the 14th (penalty) and 47th minutes.
