Israeli Troops Shoot Palestinian in Face during Clashes in Ramallah
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A Palestinian youth was shot and injured in the face with a rubber-coated steel bullet fired by Israeli forces during clashes that broke out Friday in the village of Kufr Malik, east of Ramallah, in the central West Bank, according to local sources.
Sources told WAFA a youth was admitted into Ramallah hospital with an injury to the face after being struck in the face with a rubber-coated steel bullet during the clashes.
His medical condition was described as moderate.
In another development on Friday, an Israeli settler opened fire on Palestinians protesting against illegal Israeli settlements in al-Mughayyir village in Ramallah.
Anadolu Agency cameraman Hisham Abu Shakra recorded footage of a settler who opened fire at Palestinian protesters.
Eyewitnesses said that the settler who opened fire on protesters was not detained by the Israeli authorities.
More than 400,000 Israeli settlers currently live in more than 250 illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.
International law views both the West Bank and East Jerusalem al-Quds as "occupied territories" and considers all Israeli settlement-building activity there as illegal.
