Iran’s Zarif Congratulates Christians on Christmas

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif extended his congratulations on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (PBUH), wishing a “happy, healthy and peaceful holiday season” for all Christians.

“The birth of Spirit of God—Jesus, revered by all Muslims as a great prophet—is a joyous occasion for ALL mankind. I wish all a very Merry Christmas, and a happy, healthy and peaceful holiday season,” Zarif said in a message posted on his Twitter account on Thursday.

Christmas or Christmas Day is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, celebrated generally on December 25 as a religious and cultural holiday by millions of people around the world.
