94 Iranians Died of Coronavirus Infections in Last 24 Hours: Health Officials

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The daily death toll from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran reached 94, as Health officials report more than 7,605 new cases of coronavirus in last 24 hours.

Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Wednesday that the total number of deaths from the virus had reached 62,045.

She went on to say that 936 of the new patients have been hospitalized, adding that some 3,874 other COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and are being treated in intensive care units.

According to Lari, 1,562,709 patients have so far recovered or been discharged from hospitals out of a total of 1,823,317 infected people.

COVID-19 has infected almost 124 million people worldwide, with 2.7 million people dying as a result of the virus.
