Iranian Wrestlers Win Five Medals at Vehbi Emre on Day 1
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers won five medals at the Vehbi Emre & Hamit Kaplan 2021 Day 1 on Saturday.
The tournament is being held in Istanbul, Turkey from June 18 to 20.
In the 55kg weight class, Sajad Abbaspour won a gold medal after beating his compatriot Pouya Dad Marz in the final.
Mohammad Reza Mokhtari also won a gold medal in the 72kg class after beating his Turkish rival. Amin Kavianinejhad from Iran also won a bronze medal in the class.
Meysam Dalkhani claimed a bronze medal in the 63kg after defeating a wrestler form Turkey.
