Iran’s Kanaanizadegan Signs for Al-Ahli
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Qatari football club Al-Ahli completed the signing of Iran international defender Hossein Kanaanizadegan.
The 27-year-old player has signed a two-year contract with Al-Ahli.
Kannani joined Persepolis in 2019 from Machine Sazi and won the Iran Professional League twice with the team.
He was a member of Persepolis football team who qualified for the 2020 AFC Champions League final, where the Iranian team lost to Ulsan Hyundai from South Korea 2-1.
Al-Ahli, also known as Al-Ahli Doha is a Qatari multi-sport club based in Doha. It is most notable for its professional association football section. Its home ground is the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium. It is the oldest sports club in Qatar, having been established in 1950.
