Iran’s Single-Day Covid Death Toll Drops Below 370
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran recorded 17,605 fresh COVID-19 cases and 364 more deaths in the past 24 hours, according to a Health Ministry announcement on Friday.
The total number of deaths from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran increased to 116,436, over the last 24 hours, as 17,605 new cases of COVID-19 infection were discovered, with 2,537 of them requiring hospitalization, according to the report.
Out of a total of 5,396,013 infected people, 4,708,195 have recovered or been discharged from hospitals, according to the Ministry.
Some 6,902 COVID-19 patients were reported to have been in critical condition and in intensive care units.
The Ministry of Health also revealed that 27,709,835 Iranians have received the first dosage of the coronavirus vaccine, as 13,459,625 have received the second dose.
