Iran Comes 4th at Asian Women's Handball C’ship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against Kazakhstan 38-33 in bronze medal match of the 2021 Asian Women's Handball Championship at the Princess Sumaya Hall in Amman, Jordan on Saturday.
The Iranian women had already booked their place in the 2021 World Women's Handball Championship.
The top six Asian teams advanced to the world championship in Spain.
Japan and South Korea locked horn in the final match.
The 2021 Asian Women's Handball Championship was held in Jordan from September 15 to 25.
On August 9, 2020, the Asian Handball Federation decided to postpone the championship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, the championship was scheduled to take place from December 10 to 22, 2020.
On August 3, 2021, the AHF announced to move the event from South Korea to Jordan due to the pandemic.
