Exclusive: Lebanese FM Hails Iranian Counterpart’s Successful Visit to Beirut
BEIRUT (Tasnim) – Foreign Minister of Lebanon Abdallah Bou Habib described his Iranian counterpart’s trip to Beirut as a successful visit which sends out a clear signal that the international community supports Lebanon.
In an interview with Tasnim in Beirut, Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib commented on his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdollahian’s visit to Lebanon.
Asked whether the top Iranian diplomat’s visit has good news for Lebanon, Bou Habib said Lebanon believes that the trip is a successful visit.
He said the senior Iranian diplomat’s trip, like the visits that the foreign ministers of other states pay to Lebanon, sends out a clear message that the international community supports Lebanon to help it improve the economic, social and political conditions.
Thanking Amirabdollahian, the Lebanese foreign minister said his Iranian counterpart has held very successful meetings with the president, the prime minister, and the parliament speaker of Lebanon.
“We hope these meetings would result in the improvement of the bilateral relations,” Bou Habib concluded.
