Iran Ready to Help Lebanon in Hard Days: FM


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian assured Lebanon of the Islamic Republic’s unwavering support in dealing with difficulties.

“We are prepared to support and assist Lebanon in hard days,” the senior Iranian diplomat said in a post on his Twitter account at the conclusion of a visit to Beirut.

“I held important talks with Lebanon’s high-ranking officials, leaders of parties, and elites,” Amirabdollahian noted.

He also hailed the “fruitful” negotiations with Secretary-General of Hezbollah Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, and once again congratulated the Lebanese nation on the formation of a new government.

“The ground is prepared for the promotion of cooperation” with Lebanon, he stated.

The foreign minister of Iran traveled to Beirut on Thursday after a visit to Moscow.

Amirabdollahian held meetings with senior Lebanese officials, including President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
