IPL: Sepanan, Esteghlal Emerge Victorious
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan and Esteghlal football teams earned their third victory in a row in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
Sepahan edged past Havadar 1-0 in Isfahan. Danial Esmaeilifar scored the solitary goal of the match in the 84th minute.
Esteghlal also defeated Tractor 1-0 in Tehran. Arsalan Motahari headed past Tractor keeper Mohammad Reza Akhbari in the 54th minute.
In Abadan, Sanat Naft suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Fajr Sepasi.
Naft Masjed Soleyman defeated Padideh 1-0 in Mashhad.
On Monday, Foolad will entertain Mes, Gol Gohar host Nassaji and Persepolis play Aluminum in Arak.
