Iran’s Senior Cleric Urges Iraqi Officials to Resolve Election Disputes
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Tehran’s provisional Friday Prayers leader Hojjatoleslam Kazzem Seddiqi has called on the Iraqi officials to resolve the country’s elections issues based on the country's laws.
Referring to the issue of Iraq, the Friday prayer preacher of Tehran this week stressed that the Iraq's issues are very important for the Islamic world and especially Shiites, as the world is doing its best to disrupt the Islamic world, especially the world of Shiites.
He also condemned a recent shooting incident against Iraqi protesters in response to their peaceful demonstrations and call on the Iraqi government and its judiciary to pursue this issue.
“The bombing and drone attack on the house of the Iraqi Prime Minister is also (a) suspicious (act) and we expect an investigation on this issue,” said the Senior Cleric referring to an assassination attack targeting Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi.
This week’s Friday Prayers leader also referred to the issue of Afghanistan, saying that the schemes by the United States did not stop despite Americans have escaped from the country.
“Our dream is, firstly, an independent and strong Afghanistan, and secondly, we want our border security not to be compromised,” Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi said, stressing that the rights of the Shiites of Afghanistan must be protected by forming an all-inclusive government with the participation of all groups in the country.
