Coronavirus in Iran: 376 New Cases Hospitalized
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The number of coronavirus patients who have been admitted to the hospital across Iran over the past 24 hours stood at 376, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
The new figures released by the Health Ministry indicate that the total number of people tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Iran has exceeded 6,175,700 following the detection of 2,413 new cases since yesterday.
Of the new cases detected in the past 24 hours, 376 patients have been admitted to the hospital, it said.
At least 6,012,600 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across Iran, the ministry added.
It also put the death toll from COVID-19 in Iran at 131,167, saying the disease has taken the lives of 43 patients over the past 24 hours.
Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 2,835 coronavirus patients are in the intensive care units, it noted.
The ministry also said that over 59.26 million Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, over 50.65 million have received the second dosage, and more than 4.36 million have gotten the booster shots.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 275 million and the death toll has exceeded 5.37 million.
