Iran Sympathizes with Malaysians, Filipinos over Flood Deaths

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry offered his condolences to the Philippines and Malaysia on the deaths of citizens in recent floods caused by a super typhoon.

In a statement on Tuesday, Saeed Khatibzadeh offered condolences to the Malaysian and Filipino governments and families of victims of the typhoon and floods.

Highlighting Iran’s friendly relations with the two Southeast Asian countries, the Iranian spokesman wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

Super typhoon Rai has killed over 200 people after slamming into the Philippines and Malaysia. More than 440,000 people were displaced, with about a million affected.
