Yemeni Army Confirms Drone Strike By Al-Wa'ad Al-Haq Brigades on UAE

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The spokesman for Yemen’s army confirmed a drone operation that was carried out by Al-Wa'ad Al-Haq Brigades, "Promise of Truth", against UAE, thanking the Brigades for their solidarity with Yemenis against the UAE.

In a post on Twitter, the Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e congratulated the Al-Wa'ad Al-Haq Brigades for their “noble, responsible, and solidarity stand with Yemenis" against the Saudi-led war on the country, while confirming the drone attack, Yemen al-Masirah reported.

The United Arab Emirates said Wednesday that it had intercepted three drones entering its airspace over unpopulated areas earlier in the day.

The Al-Wa'ad Al-Haq Brigades, an Iraqi faction, claimed that four drones were launched at dawn towards the Emirates, saying that the drones were targeting important facilities in Abu Dhabi.

In a speech on Thursday, The leader of the Yemeni popular resistance movement of Houthi Ansarullah Sayed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi called the United Arab Emirates, “the American’s main instrument” in the war, saying Abu Dhabi had intensified its attacks on Yemen on the US, Britain, and the Zionist regime of Israel’s orders.

Major General Mohammad Al-Ghamari, the Chief of the General Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces in Sana'a, affirmed earlier in the day that the upcoming military operations will be more severe, and that aggressor countries must recognize that the balance of power has shifted in the region.

Facing up to the invasion, Yemen’s army and its allied popular committees have vowed not to lay down their arms until the country’s complete liberation from the scourge of the invasion.

In the space of a single month, the joint forces have carried out several rounds of retaliatory strikes against targets in Dubai and the Emirati capital.

Sana’a has also warned Abu Dhabi that the counterstrikes would be exceedingly “painful” if the latter failed to wind down its involvement in the Saudi-led and US-backed war.
