Daily COVID Toll in Iran Raises to 57
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Iranian Health Ministry said on Friday that 57 more people were killed by the deadly disease over the past 24 hours.
The ministry also put the total death toll from COVID-19 in Iran at 132,681, saying 36,908 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were found over the past 24 hours among which 2,262 people were hospitalized.
The Health Ministry also included that the total number of people tested positive has exceeded 6,520,707 so far , with 6,130,566 of whom have recovered or been discharged from hospitals.
The figures released by the Health Ministry indicate that more than 61,020,487 people have been administered with first dose of coronavirus vaccine in the country as of Friday, with over 54 million people having received at least two doses of the vaccine.
Moreover, 19,023,540 people have also received the third shot as the booster jab.
