IPL: Esteghlal, Persepolis Defeat Rivals
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal and Persepolis football teams emerged victorious over their rivals in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
Esteghlal defeated Tractor 1-0 in Tabriz. Amir Hossein Hosseinzadeh scored the solitary goal of the match in the 70th minute.
Persepolis also beat Aluminum 2-0 in Tehran. Hamed Pakdel was on target in the 76th minute and Reza Asadi scored an injury time goal at the Azadi Stadium.
