Iran Eyes New Chapter in Ties with Kuwait
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi voiced the country’s willingness to broaden relations and cooperation with Kuwait in various fields.
In a message to Kuwaiti Emir Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, released on Friday, President Raisi offered his congratulations to Kuwait on its National Day.
He also expressed hope that the determination and joint efforts by the high-ranking officials of the two countries would open a new chapter in the bilateral relations and cooperation in all arenas.
Kuwait’s National Day is celebrated on February 25 each year. This holiday marks the day when Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah ascended to the throne in 1950.
Kuwait is a member of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council that has close historical and developing relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
