Iran Beats Uzbekistan in 2022 Men's AHF Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran defeated Uzbekistan in the 2022 Men's AHF Cup on Saturday.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw in regular time but Iran defeated Uzbekistan 3-2 in penalty shootout.
Team Melli will play the winner of Indonesia and Thailand in the fifth-place match on Sunday.
The 2022 Men's AHF Cup is the sixth edition of the Men's AHF Cup, the quadrennial qualification tournament for the Men's Hockey Asia Cup organized by the Asian Hockey Federation.
It takes place at the GBK Hockey Field in Jakarta, Indonesia, from March 11 to 20.
The top three teams will qualify for the 2022 Men's Hockey Asia Cup.
