No Intention of Reducing Pressure on Russia: US Department of State
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Washington has no intention of reducing pressure on Moscow until what Russia calls a “special military operation” in Ukraine comes to a halt, US Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price said at a briefing.
"The United States has no intention of reducing pressure on the Kremlin," he pointed out, when commenting on Russian top diplomat Sergey Lavrov’s upcoming participation in the G20 foreign ministers meeting set to be held in Indonesia on July 7-8, TASS reported.
Price noted that the US expected the Ukrainian issue to be discussed at the G20 events.
The US Department of State spokesperson also said that Secretary of State Antony Blinken would also take part in the G20 foreign ministers meeting.
