Iran Loses to Qatar in IHF Beach Handball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was edged by Qatar 2-1 (17–22, 20–19, 8–9) in Group II in the 2022 Beach Handball World Championship on Friday.
Team Melli failed to secure a place in the competition’s quarterfinals.
The top four in each main round group then progress through to the quarterfinals, followed by semifinals and then medal matches.
Iran finished in fifth place in the group.
The ninth edition of the 2022 Men's Beach Handball World Championships is being held from June 21 to 26, 2022, at Crete, Greece, under the aegis of International Handball Federation (IHF).
