Military General Taking Helm at IRGC Intelligence Marks New Phase of Action against Foes
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The appointment of a military general as the head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization heralds rearrangements for a new period and a step forward, signifying that Iran is going to take new steps against the ambitions and acts of occupation by the Zionist regime and the US.
On Thursday, General Mohammad Kazemi was appointed as the new head of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Intelligence Organization, replacing Hojjatoleslam Hossein Taeb who held the post for some 13 years.
During the cleric’s tenure as the IRGC Intelligence chief, seven directors of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and four directors of Mossad have been replaced. “Aluf Meir Dagan”, “Tamir Pardo”, “Yossi Meir Cohen”, and “David Barnea” had been in charge of Mossad when Hojjatoleslam Taeb was the IRGC Intelligence chief, while the CIA was run by seven directors in that period, including “Michael Hayden”, “Leon Panetta”, “David Petraeus”, “John Brennan”, “Mike Pompeo”, “Gina Haspel”, and “William J. Burns”.
All of those directors, either in the CIA or Mossad, had defined their top security priority as decisive actions against Iran. However, not only has the successive appointment of new directors failed to improve the situation for the US and Israel in the security battle, but the efforts by various security and military units of Iran and the regional resistance have put the US and the Zionist regime into numerous predicaments in the current period.
After fabricating a fake regime, the Zionists have experienced probably the worst security conditions over the past recent months. Maybe the resistance in Gaza was already perceived as Israel’s major security challenge, but now the West Bank, which the Zionists once considered as a courtyard, has emerged as a bigger problem for the Israeli regime. From a strategic viewpoint, Israel is being almost completely surrounded by the Resistance forces, either from southern Lebanon, or from the Golan Heights in Syria, or from Ansarullah forces in Yemen who have access to the sea.
During the past two months, the Israeli regime has been encountering a huge wave of fires, explosions, and damages to its vital and infrastructural facilities.
The magnitude of the security accidents and threats inflicted on Israel has been so great that the Zionist regime’s foreign minister traveled to Turkey frantically in order to ask for help in protecting Israel’s security amid the crisis.
Also the US, which used to make serious security attempts to make inroads into Iran and recreate the Pahlavi regime era once upon a time, has today shifted its main and strategic concern from an active position for conquering Iran to the attempts at a dignified escape from the region.
In such circumstances, the appointment of a military general as the new head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization signifies rearrangements for a new period and a step forward. The new replacement implies that Iran, in its new position, can take the next steps against the ambitions and acts of occupation by the Zionists and Americans and emerge victorious in new fields. Under the rearrangement and plans for the new steps, Hojjatoleslam Taeb will be taking the role as an adviser to the commander of the IRGC.
