Iran Reports 31 More Deaths from COVID-19
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The daily death toll from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran raised to 31, the Health Ministry said on Friday.
The new figures released by the Health Ministry indicate that the death toll from COVID-19 in Iran has reached 141,624 after the disease took the lives of 31 patients over the past 24 hours.
The total number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Iran has exceeded 7,312,401 following the detection of 7851 new cases since yesterday.
Of the new cases detected in the past 24 hours, 1164 patients have been admitted to the hospital.
At least 7,071,648 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across Iran.
Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 781 coronavirus patients are in the intensive care units, it said.
Nearly 52,972 ,824 COVID diagnostic tests have been performed in the country so far.
The ministry added that over 64.7 million Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, over 58.97 million have received the second dosage, and more than 28.84 million have gotten the booster shots.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 572 million and the death toll has exceeded 6.39 million.
