Iranian Weightlifters Win Medals at Asian Youth and Junior Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Alireza Moeinin and Ali Keshtkar won two medals in the 89kg weight class of the 2022 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships underway in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Saturday.
Moeini lifted 166kg in the snatch and bettered the Junior Asian record by one kilogram.
He lifted 191kg in the clean and jerk and claimed the gold with a total of 357kg.
Iran’s Ali Keshtkar also seized a bronze medal (141-186-327).
Uzbek lifter Olimov Khojiakbar lifted 145kg in the snatch, 192kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 337kg and took the silver.
