Israel Destabilizing Region, Iran Warns UAE
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – In a conversation with his Emirati counterpart, the foreign minister of Iran slammed the Zionist regime as the root cause of instability and insecurity in the region.
In his telephone conversation with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said the presence of the Israeli regime in the region only creates instability and insecurity.
Denouncing the attempts by the Zionist regime to create a crisis out of the recent summit in Jeddah, the Iranian foreign minister said the prudence of the regional states attending the conference resulted in a focus on regional cooperation, development and security.
On the talks for the removal of sanctions on Iran and saving the 2015 nuclear deal, Amirabdollahian reiterated Iran’s resolve to strike a good and durable agreement as the European Union continues its efforts to make the negotiations yield results.
For his part, the senior Emirati diplomat said Abu Dhabi and Tehran have common interests in the expansion of relations.
He expressed confidence that the two neighbors will be able to open up new vistas in their ties, as the region is facing severe challenges such as environmental problems.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed also highlighted the significance that the United Arab Emirates attaches to peace, stability and prosperity for Iran as its brotherly neighbor, hoping for greater strides in the promotion of relations between the two states.
