Rasoul Motamedi Ruled Out of 2022 World Weightlifting Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian weightlifter Rasoul Motamedi has been ruled out of the 2022 IWF World Weightlifting Championships due to an elbow injury.
He requires two months for recovery.
The 109kg category weightlifter won a gold medal in the 2022 Asian Weightlifting Championships in October.
Iranian woman weightlifter Fatemeh Yousefi has already withdrawn from the competition for suffering from a right clavicle injury.
The 2022 World Championships is scheduled to be held in Bogota, Colombia from December 5 to 16.
