Fire Breaks Out in Baghdad International Airport for Second Time

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Two days after a blaze broke out in Baghdad's international airport, it saw another fire in its departure hall.

According to a report from the Shafaq news agency on Thursday, the new fire broke out in the two-story Nineveh hall, where a VIP-terminal and tour agency offices are located, according to the media.

The blaze was reportedly put out by 15 fire crews.

No injured people were reported. The local civil defense called for a criminal expert to take samples from the place of the incident and identify its cause, the news outlet added.

The agency was informed by the airport management that all activities have now been completed on schedule.

The previous fire happened on Tuesday in the cafeteria of the departure hall. There were no significant injuries or damages, but three workers were hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning.
