Iran’s Tabatabaei Comes 3rd at Sunway Chess Festival
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mohammad Amin Tabatabaei finished in third place at the 2022 Sunway Chess Festival.
He lost to American player Hans Niemann and claimed third place.
Russian chess grandmaster Kirill Alekseenko won the title.
Tabatabaei had held the Russian to a draw on Tuesday.
The 2022 Sunway Sitges International Chess Festival was held in Sitges, Spain from December 12 to 23.
